📈 How SnoodyBoo increased his Twitch Subscriptions by 30% using Tacter’s exclusive content feature
We invited SnoodyBoo, a well-known Spanish TFT content creator, to talk about how he founded his own academy on Tacter and how that helped him increase his Twitch subscriptions by 30% in just one month.
👤 Who is SnoodyBoo?
SnoodyBoo is a Spanish TFT player and content creator who was affiliated with Team Liquid, one of Europe's most prestigious eSports teams. With over 260,000 followers, he is among the most respected TFT players in Spain. Besides playing TFT, he enjoys coffee, bad jokes, and sparkling water.
👓 Snoody’s vision
Creating video content and streaming is a good way to provide value to the TFT community, but some people find it easier to learn about the game through written content. There were other platforms he could have used, none offered all the features that Tacter provides to creators.
Unlike Mobalytics, MetaTFT, or other platforms, which just show a quick snapshot of the comp with augments and items, Tacter let us go deeper. - Snoody said.
His vision was to create "Los Apuntes De Snoody", an academy for his community where they could learn the best strategies for success in TFT, set by set and patch by patch.
🔐 Tacter’s Exclusive Content
One of the best features Tacter offers to content creators is the ability to produce exclusive content for Twitch Paid Subscribers and YouTube Paid Memberships.
This means that you can create Tacter content that is accessible only to fans who are already paying you on Twitch or YouTube:
- ✅ Your fans can enjoy the exclusive content without needing to pay again!
- ✅ You can offer your Tacter-exclusive content as a perk to encourage your audience to become paid subscribers on any platform, avoiding the need for double payments.
During this interview, Snoody revealed that, when executed well, creating written content for your audience can lead to a 30% increase in Twitch Subscriptions.
We know that Snoody’s Private content has been consumed by 626 Twitch Subscribers during February and 855 Twitch Subscribers during March. This means that 65% of his subscribers are using his private content or subscribing for it, which indicates growth and retention of subscribers.
He noticed a significant rise in Subscribers coming from his VODs, indicating he was growing on Twitch even when offline. This is quite unusual, given the platform's emphasis on interaction while live streaming.
“Tacter is definitely boosting my Twitch subscriptions—I'd say by 20-30% at least. The main difference I notice is the offline subscriptions I get from viewers watching my VODs. This never happened before I started using Tacter” — said Snoody

💬 Interview
Who is Snoody, and why are you using Tacter?
My real name is Balou, but everyone knows me as SnoodyBoo. I've been creating content for about seven years.
I used to focus on Hearthstone full-time for about three years, but I've been creating content for TFT ever since it came out. I used to compete a lot, but since competitive play requires a significant amount of time and I'm not as competitive as I used to be, I decided to put my efforts into teaching others. I find it more rewarding, and it's just a different way to approach life, right?
That's why I created the whole academy project with you guys—it felt like a natural progression, and I'm really pleased with how things are going right now.
How did you come up with the idea of creating "Los Apuntes de Snoody"?
This is actually a pretty funny story. One of your partners laughs about it all the time because Reven was one of the first people to start using Tacter, back when it didn't have paywall subscriptions and all the newer features. He used it for a while but then quit TFT. I asked if I could borrow the idea, and he said yes. So I took his idea, and now he's following my version of it.
We're both using it and refining it together, which is actually pretty cool. It's interesting how things come full circle, right?
What features does Tacter offer that other platforms don’t?
From what I've heard from my viewers—whose opinions are most important to me—the part they enjoy the most is that Tacter allows for more extensive explanations of compositions.
It's not just a snapshot, right? Unlike Mobalytics, MetaTFT, or other platforms, which give you a quick view of the composition with augments and items, Tacter lets us go deeper.
Since it's blog-based, people can get a much more detailed breakdown of the comps. You can structure it in various sections, clearly indicating what to do at different stages. My viewers really like this approach because the main challenge for me as a content creator is synthesizing all this information in a way that's not overwhelming. When done right, they get quick and useful information without feeling like it's too much to process.
Could you describe your content in one sentence?
In one sentence, I'd say my content is about ”getting mad at TFT”. (Laughs) That pretty much captures the essence of what I do.
What is your content strategy for the academy?
We’re experimenting with a variety of strategies, as this is our first set on this platform.
The main goal is to get the most popular compositions out as quickly as possible because the TFT meta can shift rapidly. One week a composition is strong, and the next week it might be totally outdated.
We aim to update existing compositions and keep pace with the latest trends. When a new composition gains traction, we publish a guide as soon as possible and create a tier list so people can easily identify what's viable.
I think you guys are already working on implementing a better structure for users to browse profiles, right? That's one of the biggest requests we get, and there's a lot of excitement about that.
How does private content fit into your strategy?
We've had quite a bit of discussion about how to handle premium content.
The main idea is that if you're a Tacter user, you need access to plenty of content; otherwise, you might feel discouraged and avoid the platform, right? So we decided to offer basic versions of all compositions for free.
The premium content is aimed at the most dedicated players—those striving to reach Challenger, Master, or Diamond. This premium content offers additional insights into compositions and provides that extra push. I think we've struck a good balance.
This approach has worked really well for me so far. A lot of people have been subscribing just for that. Naturally, not everyone is thrilled about a paywall; some people welcome it, while others are hesitant.
Overall, I'm happy with our approach because everyone can still access the platform and find valuable content, whether it's free or premium. I think offering a free version of the guide is a solid strategy, rather than having completely exclusive content. This way, users can explore the free version, find it useful, and then decide if they want to dive into the more in-depth premium content.
What does your daily routine look like?
My daily routine primarily involves creating content for Twitch and YouTube. I integrate this with Tacter because once I have a solid base, I can use it for my YouTube videos, show it on my stream, and everything fits together in a smooth workflow. That's basically my daily schedule.
I use all the major platforms, I would say.
Are you managing everything yourself, or do you have a team to help with the academy, as well as your YouTube and Twitch channels?
I'm fortunate to have a lot of help in various areas. I handle Twitch on my own. For YouTube, I have someone who helps organize content across my two channels.
For Tacter, since we're collaborating, I work with a whole team. We have someone managing Discord, and three editors working on the content. All these people are compensated for their work, because otherwise, it wouldn't make sense to have them involved.
I just oversee the content's progress. I have a plan in my head, and I direct others on what needs to be done, ensuring everything runs smoothly. It requires a lot of communication to turn an idea into reality when other people are involved in its execution.
How does Tacter fit into your workflow?
Well, it's actually pretty easy compared to other platforms or collaborations I've done. Since it's content I create anyway, it integrates smoothly with my existing process. Ever since TFT came out, I've been creating guides for the best comps and the meta. So, when a new composition is discovered, I post it on Tacter first, then on Discord. The next day, I'll talk about it on stream, and there will already be a YouTube video. Everything connects seamlessly because there's a foundation, which makes it easy to expand from there.
Let's talk about your community. What do they think about the Tacter Academy?
They seem grateful for the Academy. I have a suggestion box on my Discord where people can request what they want to see, which helps me tailor the content. The main complaint I hear is about finding specific guides or compositions. Sometimes, it can be hard to locate a particular guide, especially if it's from a while back.
For example, if I posted a guide about a specific hero augment, it might get buried under newer content, making it hard for users to find. I'm working on creating commands and subsections to help with this.
However, the most successful part has been the tier list comps, because they're all in one place, making them easier to find. Despite the minor issues, people seem happy with the content and often mention gaining ELO thanks to it.
How does Los Apuntes de Snoody or Tacter help you increase or maintain your Twitch subscriptions?
It's definitely boosting my subscriptions—I'd say by 20-30% at least. The main difference I've noticed is the offline subscriptions I get from viewers watching my VODs. This never happened before I started using Tacter. People watch the VODs, learn about the premium content on Tacter, and then subscribe to my Twitch channel to access it. It's a significant increase, and it's rewarding to know people are engaging even when I'm offline.
Do you think the SEO from Tacter is helping you reach a larger audience?
I was initially skeptical about the impact of SEO, but I've found it to be quite effective. One day, I was searching the web for TFT-related terms like "TFT meta comps," and I noticed that Tacter and my name were showing up in the search results. If it's showing up for me, it likely shows up for others as well. It's impressive to see that kind of exposure, especially when it translates to a wider reach for my content.
What should be your main piece of advice for someone willing to start in content creation?
My advice would be to set realistic goals and pursue something you can actually achieve. Whether you're creating content on multiple platforms or just one, it's important to establish a schedule. If you have a full-time job, set aside specific times to work on your content.
For example, "Today I'll invest two hours in creating content, then promote it in a certain way". Establish a routine, but don't stress if things don't always go according to plan. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn't—but that's part of the process. The key is to take small steps and set realistic goals.
Would you recommend other content creators to build their own version of “Los Apuntes de Snoody”?
Oh, absolutely. In fact, there's some friendly competition among Spanish creators like Manute and Iguana, and I love that. Competition brings in new ideas, different approaches, and ultimately leads to better content for the viewers. When I check out their work, they check out mine, and we inspire each other.
In a few months, it results in a lot of original and high-quality content for the viewers. It may seem like we're competing, but it's actually beneficial for everyone.
Why is the community important for you as a content creator?
The community is vital to me because they’re the reason I can make a living from this. Without their support, hitting the "stream" button wouldn't make much sense. They also keep me company—streaming can be quite lonely, so having people to talk to while streaming makes it much more enjoyable.
I don't think I could play 10 to 12 hours a day without interacting with the chat; it helps me stay engaged and motivated. Plus, the community helps me set new goals, even if they sometimes get on my nerves. It’s all part of the job, and I wouldn't trade it for anything.
What’s the sharpest insight you can offer other content creators about starting their own communities?
Try to find what makes you stand out from the crowd. In my case, it was my competitive skills. Maybe for you, it's your sense of humor, your storytelling, or your unique perspective. Figure out what your strongest asset is and focus on making the most of it. Once you've identified your unique angle, build your community around that. It's a great way to stand out and attract an audience.
